Wrapping 2025 with a focus on soft wool felt like the natural choice. Alongside the joy, crafting the wooly shepherds also brought a sense of solace.
Furthermore, each King received a bit more consideration—and some additional stitching, whether inside or out. Next Christmas, an ox and a donkey might well join in...

Compared to black samples, white textile examples offer a deeper understanding of the techniques used, which is why all my educational samples are made with white fabrics. Last year, I gathered a selection of white left-over scraps as part of my long-standing idea of creating a Christmas group. However, I realized that while I was crafting decent figures, they lacked the identity I envisioned for my version of the Christmas story. So, I returned to darkness and collage, focusing on what truly matters. This year I hope to add some shepherds.
