Digital embroidery isn’t for me. In my opinion, while the digital design process offers an unprecedented opportunity to create impressive work quickly and in large quantities, the stitching often lacks personality. In this sample, I intentionally made the machine skip stitches during the embroidery process. A way to restore some of the individual character and human touch to the final result. Additionally, I used the interrupted outline as a foundation for experimenting with added hand stitches. It improved the outcome, but still...
